Ashutosh Gupta

Mr. Ashutosh Gupta is the founder and the Managing Partner of Indo Legal Services. With over 19 years of extensive and highly regarded experience in corporate litigation, his practice focuses on the full spectrum of Commercial and Corporate Litigation and Arbitration including Management & Shareholders’ Disputes, Restructuring and Reorganization, Mergers & Acquisitions, Insolvency and Bankruptcy.

In addition, Mr. Gupta has extensive experience in diverse areas of practise including infrastructure projects, power, oil & gas, and real estate and has filed various PILs and Writs before High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.

He has been involved in high-stakes cases and has presented and argued fundamental legal issues before the Supreme Court of India, the High Courts, the National Company Law Tribunals/Appellate Tribunal, as well as several other Tribunals and District Courts.

He has also been offering Corporate-Legal Services by analysing deals, carrying out meticulous due diligence, and providing advisories to Domestic as well as International Clients in relation to Investment, Finance, Private Equity, and Restructuring. With years of expertise, he has always taken initiative to manage clients and draft contracts and Memorandum of Understanding for projects ranging from Finance to the creation of Joint Ventures.

Assuming his position as an officer of the court and conscious of his obligation, Mr. Gupta eagerly encourages the parties in dispute to resolve their dispute through extrajudicial means such as mediation or negotiations and, in order to achieve the goal, he frequently serves as an arbitrator, mediator, and Diplomat in a variety of instances, constructively providing clients with services in the process.

Above all, Mr. Gupta has never shied away from providing pro bono services and helping the underprivileged and vulnerable members of society since he is a staunch supporter of constitutional principles.

Owing to his years of professional expertise, Mr. Gupta has established his market worth and managed to garner recognition before educational institutions. He has been invited to speak at numerous events and conferences where he has lectured on various conundrums and burning issues under Arbitration & Conciliation Act and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code and Companies Act etc.
